Terms and Conditions

Paintings usually take 2 - 4 weeks to complete once started depending on size and the level of detail that is to be painted. You will be given an estimated start time when placing your order. If you have a deadline for a special occasion, please make Michelle aware of this and she will do her upmost to complete it in time.
In the event Michelle becomes poorly during the time she is working on the painting this may delay the completion. If she can not meet a deadline for an occasion due to illness or family emergency a full refund of your payments will be given.

Painting commissions are exciting and you will be included you along the way by being sent pictures of your painting in its development stages to make sure you are happy with how it is going.
You are commissioning a painting because you love Michelle's work and trust her creative decisions so please respectfully bare this in mind when placing your order.
Any extra elements or key figures added along the way will usually be granted with in reason but please remember the extra time it will take and so will be added to the final payment.
Michelle has the right to terminate a commission if she feels despite her best efforts she can not make the customer happy or honour unrealistic or continued late changes.
Please also be aware that Michelle will not create paintings with quotes painted over the top or any sort of writing or message. This can be added to your painting when printed onto items such as mugs, coasters or giclee prints.

Payment and deposits
For paintings quoted under £200 a 50% non refundable deposit is required upfront to secure a booking slot and this allows for preparation before starting the painting.
For paintings £200 and over a 25% deposit is required to secure the booking slot and then 25% upon starting the painting will be arranged.
You will be booked for a painting once 50% deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due on completion and instalments can be arranged and discussed to spread the cost to suit you.

Payments for commissions can be made via PayPal or by BACS transfers. Please let me know your preferred payment method and an invoice will be sent with painting details that have been agreed on.

Delivery
Postage cost will be additional to the paintings quoted price. Where convenient collection can be arranged.
Paintings will be dispatched within 48 hours of cleared final payment, Monday to Friday.
All postage will be tracked, signed for and insured. If you receive your painting and it is damaged please contact me straight away to let me know. Send a photograph of the damage via email to info@dreamcaptureartwork.com so that I can consider the options of repair or refund.
If a full refund is in order, which will be minus deposit, this will be paid back to you once the painting has been returned to me with tracking at the address I will give you.

Copyright and image usage
You are welcome to share your painting on social media providing you tag Dream Capture Artwork in your post. Your painting is to be used for your personal enjoyment and display only. No printed copies or profit gain is permitted without written permission from the artist.
The artist retains all copyright of the finished painting and retains the right to use any artworks and development stages for advertisement purposes such as printed flyers or social media posts.
The artist also retains the right to use the image on printed products such as greetings cards and various giftware lines. However, due to the sensitivity of some of the paintings, Michelle is respectful of this and will always ask if your image can be used in her line of gift items for Dream Capture Artwork or shared on social media where appropriate. She is also careful not to share on social media any developmental stages of the painting if it is to be gifted and the recipient is likely to see.
